Box Hill Institute have partnered with BlueScope to provide an industry-leading qualification and we're currently recruiting for a Course Coordinator to join the team.

As the Course Coordinator for the BlueScope project, you will lead a team of education professionals to design deliver, evaluate and continuously improve leading edge programs. As the operational leader for the BlueScope program, you will manage day to day operational effectiveness and provide ongoing professional development for the team; including proactively manage team and individual performance.

Within this role, you will be responsible for learning experiences and outcomes as well as supporting Teachers to deliver an excellent learning experience and provide necessary Coordinators may teach as required.

This position is based in industry venues. It is expected to work in the City, Lilydale and across any campus of the Box Hill Institute as required, including Elgar Rd and Nelson campus.

About you:

  • Vocational Expertise: Highly developed educational leadership expertise plus extensive management and/or teaching skills.
  • Educational Excellence: Proven significant experience leading and managing teaching programs that comply with relevant quality standards with a strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment. Demonstrated experience applying and coaching employees on teaching methodologies, techniques and standards appropriate to subject areas.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a high performance team of teaching employees, managing performance, facilitating development and providing feedback and coaching improving productivity and performance.
  • Administrative Coordination: Demonstrated understanding of the range of administrative requirements that support coordination of education and training, with experience in compliance with accreditation/audit recommendations and quality assurance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Challenges and supports others to identify new and different approaches to deliver outstanding programs and service, ensuring risks and change management impacts are identified and managed.
  • Problem Solving: High level ability to solve problems, can anticipate potential problems and pre-empt actions, liaises with stakeholders analysing issues and proposing workable and positive solutions, implementing and reviewing solution effectiveness.
  • Victorian Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check clearance

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • A relevant approved AQF Level 6 or above qualification in adult and vocational education.
  • A vocational qualification relevant to industry
